Stop Surviving & Start Living

Using the Book of Isaiah for Breakthroughs

The promise from Isaiah 55:11 (Day 20 of Month 10):

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please."

By committing to this journal, you are planting seeds that God promises will grow.

Connection of Soul & Brain

The Book of Isaiah points to the nature of God, the coming of the Messiah, and the restoration of the soul.

January: Cleaning Up
The Focus: God’s Call to Repentance
           God's Promise
           God's Holiness

1. The Meditation

In the opening of his book, Isaiah doesn't start with a list of rules, but with a call for the entire universe to pay attention because God is speaking. This journal is your way of "giving ear." You are deciding that for the next year, God's voice will be louder than the noise of the world.

2. Journaling Prompt Write 2–3 sentences answering these questions:

  • "Lord, as I begin this year in Isaiah, what is the one area of my life where I most need to hear Your voice?"

  • "What 'noise' do I need to quiet so I can 'give ear' to what You have spoken?"

3. The Response Prayer “Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are a God who speaks. I ask that you open my heart and my ears. As I travel through the words of the prophet Isaiah, let Your Spirit breathe life into every area of my life as I get into every verse. Help me. Amen.”

Day 1
Isaiah 1:2
Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
